Buckwheat- The wonder pseudo cereal - good for health

Buckwheat is a pseudocereal meaning it is consumed  in the same way as cereal grains, but do not grow on grasses. It is not related to wheat, and is therefore gluten-free.
The grains are brown and irregular in shape.

It is rich in carbohydrates, proteins ,minerals and various antioxidants.
It has varied health benefits
It shows improved blood sugar control. The soluble carbohydrates in buckwheat moderates the  blood sugar increase usually noted after meals.
It reduces colon cancer.
It is rich  in minerals like manganese, copper, magnesium and compounds like rutin, which are healthy for the heart. Hence Buckwheat promotes health of our heart!
It is the richest source of Rutin, which possess very good medicinal properties
