• Blue ticks - double ticks-in watsapp messages means messages are delivered and the receiver has read it.

Go to settings--> disable Read Receipts. now those blue ticks disappear.!

• Tap and hold on any of the messages in watsapp followed by the Info option. This will show the time your message was delivered and subsequently read!
• Tap on the group chat of your choice, then the name to bring up Group Info where you will find the option to Mute the chat for eight hours to one week or a year.
• you can mute messages in a group is too many forwards are disturbing.
